After receiving my BCom degree from Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto, I spent the next 8 years in consulting at Ernst & Young (EY) and tech startups before transitioning to academic research. My research revisits taken-for-granted assumptions in entrepreneurship and examines when and why they break down using large-scale data and causal inference methods.
My current research explores (1) how seemingly successful outcomes can mislead entrepreneurs into a distinct behavioral pathway, and (2) how generative AI is fueling solo entrepreneurship while teams still lead at the top of the quality distributions.
These papers have been selected for the 2026 Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings and nominated for the 2026 Strategic Management Society Best PhD Paper Prize, respectively.
I plan to apply to PhD programs in Management in December 2026.
