Entrepreneurship | Innovation | Technology | Human Capital
After 8 years in consulting and tech startups, I transitioned to academic research to examine how technology and human capital shape the creation and scaling of new ventures, using large-scale data and quasi-experimental methods.
My current work examines (1) how generative AI fuels solo entrepreneurship but teams still lead at the top of the quality distribution, and (2) how early marginal success can mislead entrepreneurs onto a distinctive trajectory that inhibits long-term growth.
These papers have been nominated for the 2026 Strategic Management Society Best PhD Paper Prize and selected for the 2026 Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings, respectively. The paper on generative AI and entrepreneurship also received the 2026 MK Best Paper Award, one of the highest honors in management research in South Korea, in the largest management paper competition jointly held by 48 academic societies.
I plan to apply to PhD programs in Management in December 2026.
Prior to academia, I was a Manager at Ernst & Young Consulting and a CPA (Canada). I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.Â
